12U Rich and 10U Meyers both play up and place high

In Centralia, WA this weekend, USSSA hosted the Toys for Tots tournament in NW Sportshub. The toy collection bins were overflowing with all the generosity from the softball community. PNW Force had two teams in the tournament, both playing up an age group from their normal division. 10U Meyers competed in the 12U division. After a bumpy ride through pool play that saw them lose to two Gold bracket teams (including the champion), and the silver bracket runner up, Force fought in the Bronze bracket and came away with the Championship. 12U Rich competed in the 14U division. After going 2-1 in pool play, they played a thriller in the semis, coming back from 4-0 to win 8-4 and made it to the finals. In the championship, they were again down early, 3-0, and battled back scoring 2 in the bottom of the fifth, but couldn’t bring in the runners in scoring position. They fell 5-6 but showed immense pride for 2nd place after facing the 14U competition.
