PNW Force gets to play under beautiful Mt. Si in North Bend

Three PNW Force teams planned on playing the USA Softball Medal of Honor tournament March 23 and 24th. Unfortunately, the fields got rained out for the 12U teams, so only the two 10U teams were in action. The 10U played under Mt. Si in North Bend at the Sirius Sports Complex.

Force 10U Naval showed great improvement over the weekend, having more hits and pitching more strikeouts that any other tournament so far. They went 2-0-1 in pool play and earned the number 2 seed in bracket play. They cruised to a solid win in the first round of bracket play, then had a long break before shutting out their opponent to make to the finals. In the finals they met up with Force 10U Meyers to make it an all Force Championship game in the gold bracket.

Force 10U Meyers were in peak form all weekend. Their bats were on fire and pitching was on point. Through the entire weekend, Meyers shutout every team, only allowed 6 baserunners, all from walks, and score 65 runs in 5 games. Although Naval had a stolen base and pushed the championship to 4 innings, Meyers was too strong and came away with the championship rings.
