The second weekend in April saw three Force teams in action in three different tournaments. In Kent, WA, PNW Force 14U played in the USSSA Angels for Autism tournament. They worked through a tough pool play draw and earned a spot in the Silver Bracket. The lost in a very entertaining, one run game in the first round of bracket play. The girls really grew this tournament and really coming together.
PNW Force Birklid was up north in Arlington, WA at NSA Icebreaker. The format was a little different as they did not have a traditional pool and bracket. That being said, Birklid went 2-2 on Saturday, losing the first two and fighting back to win the second two. On Sunday they shined winning both games to finish the tournament at 4-2.
Finally, USA Softball hosted the StrikeOut BreastCancer tournament in Yakima, WA. PNW Force Meyers 10U cruised through pool play 3-0 and rode the momentum on Sunday morning to win the first game in the Gold Bracket. In the championship game, they went fell behind early but clawed their way back scoring 2 runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game, but lost to a walk off in the bottom of the 7th to take second place.
